INTRODUCTION TO A UNIQUE WILDERNESS IN TANZANIA Manyara Conservancy is a pioneering project blending habitat conservation with tourism for the benefit of local communities. The first of its kind to be established in Tanzania, it covers an area of 35000-acres in size. It lies within the Kwakuchinja wildlife migration corridor, home to over 50 species of mammals. Situated right next to Tarangire National Park, the conservancy is an intimate and undisturbed safari destination. Across the lake, lies Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater is only 2 hours drive away. 8-TENT CLASSIC EAST-AFRICAN STYLE CAMP Guests staying at the comfortable 8-tent classic “East-African-Style” safari camp have the Conservancy to themselves. No other safari operator has access to this wilderness, unlike in the National Parks, which can sometimes become crowded. The low-key, eco-friendly camp has been built without the use of cement or hard to find timber. It comprises large canvas tents equipped with tasteful handcrafted furniture and comfortable linens. Running hot and cold water and 24-hour lighting make every stay comfortable. A well-trained team leads activities and takes good care of guests. AMAZING WILDLIFE Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah are just some of the more than 50 species of mammals (Mammal List) seen year round. More than 350 species of birds (Bird List) also occur here. In addition to resident wildlife, migrating herds pass through the Conservancy on their way to and from nearby Tarangire National Park. SPECIAL ACTIVITIES Guests can enjoy off-road game drives, bush walks, night drives, game viewing from hides, Maasai village visits and a host of other experiences – all without encountering other people on safari.
