Whatever progress there will be in life, it doesn’t come through adapting but through daring! The Swahili word ‘Thubutu’ means ‘to dare’. Dare to be your own change! But to be able to be your own change, you need to get opportunities; opportunities to gain information, to learn, to process, to shape your thoughts and ideas. This starts at a young age. Thubutu Africa Initiatives (TAI) wants to see local communities flourish, daring to take measure into their own hands. Children are at the base of this; they are our future. Children deserve to grow up in a safe and healthy environment; an environment that enables them to reach their full potential. Unfortunately this is often not the case. One of the major problems? The lack of education; education in the broadest sense and as an information provision tool. Education and information result in knowledge and knowledge drives change. At TAI we seek to appreciate and develop what Tanzania can do for the development of her own communities and Africa as a whole. TAI is an officially registered local non-governmental organization and is currently primarily active in the remote rural areas of the Shinyanga Rural and Kishapu district, located in the Shinyanga Region.
